A case of death of one person after being hit by a train has come to light from Bettiah in Bihar. The body was identified after the photo went viral on social media after the incident. The incident took place near pillar number 209/12 near Bettiah railway station located in Narkatiaganj-Sugauli railway section of the district. At the same time, the deceased has been identified as Sanjay Pandey (38), resident of Krishna Nagar of Manuapul police station area. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and sent the body to the Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case.
The deceased’s son Jaswant told that his father had left the house on Friday evening. But he did not return home. Even after a lot of searching, nothing was found about him. Then on Saturday afternoon it came to light that he had died after being hit by a train. There is chaos in the family after the incident came to light.
It is being told that after the incident, the people present nearby informed the GRP police about the incident. Police force including GRP’s Sunil Kumar, Rohit Kumar Yadav arrived on information and sent the body to the Government Medical Hospital for post-mortem. The body was identified after identification through a viral photo on social media.
Here, GRP police station incharge Rajesh Pandit said that the incident took place on Saturday afternoon. He said that the body has been identified. Police is busy in further action. He told that in the afternoon the goods train from Bettiah was going towards Narkatiaganj. He died due to being hit by that. Police is investigating the matter.
